Carmen Mesa is a photographer inspired by her deep connection to Aruba and its people. What began as a personal passion grew into a visual exploration of island life—its people, nature, animals, boats, and homes. Her Open Doors series is inspired by Aruba’s historic Cunucu houses and celebrates openness, hospitality, culture, and freedom. Using layered photographic prints in handcrafted pine frames, her work creates a subtle 3D depth that reveals peaceful inner worlds beyond weathered façades.
